Spectators: 7842 (Terracing: 5983, Seating: 1834, VIP seats: 25) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Marek Macák got the match started through his kick off. Pavol Michalovič received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Róbert Tomčík tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 7th play minutes Pavol Michalovič shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Róbert Tomčík and just under the crossbar into goal. Pavol Michalovič succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 12th playminute. Pavol Michalovič fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Róbert Tomčík having to interfere. Ľubomír Hnát charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ľubomír Hnát the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 23 played minutes Hrabovec got a freekick which was hit by Ľubomír Hnát. Stanislav Vittek's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Róbert Tomčík read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. Stanislav Vittek might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Róbert Tomčík. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Stanislav Vittek ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Hrabovec's Tomáš Virga got a free kick in the 30th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Hrabovec's zone, Pavol Michalovič stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Róbert Tomčík came out of the goal and Pavol Michalovič tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Sporting Club Kanguru's Pavol Michalovič in the 34th minute got a chance for a shot 34th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Hrabovec's goalie prevented a goal. In the 37th minute, Stanislav Vittek fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Sporting Club Kanguru's Pavol Michalovič got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Miloš Húska struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Róbert Tomčík didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sporting Club Kanguru. A collision led to Hrabovec getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Krištof Petruš hit a great ball. When Michal Čorbaj came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Sporting Club Kanguru fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Michal Čorbaj couldn't finish the play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Stanislav Vittek to make the kick off. Róbert Tomčík showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stanislav Vittek, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. 53 minutes into the match, Sporting Club Kanguru's Pavol Michalovič sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Róbert Tomčík narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Hrabovec's Róbert Tomčík played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pavol Michalovič in the 56th minute of play. 61 minutes into the match, Sporting Club Kanguru's Stanislav Vittek sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Róbert Tomčík narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Miloš Húska's late challenge caught a Hrabovec's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Miloš Húska helped the player get up and apologised. In the 66th match minute, Sporting Club Kanguru was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miloš Húska to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Hrabovec defense, Stanislav Vittek kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Róbert Tomčík. The Hrabovec fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Róbert Tomčík should have stopped the shot. 83 minutes into the match, Hrabovec's goal looked a bit too open when Stanislav Vittek came free, but Róbert Tomčík reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Stanislav Vittek recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Pavol Michalovič had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stanislav Vittek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Róbert Tomčík made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pavol Michalovič in the 92nd minute of play. Eric Carey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marek Macák in the 96th minute of the match. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Sporting Club Kanguru had played much better football throughout.
