Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Devin Škrgić kicked off to start the match. In the 5th minute Devin Škrgić shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henrik Osterman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Inot Petrič got free with Tjaš Ercegović in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Greenhorns getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Medard Štefančič hit a great ball. Velimir Budal charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Velimir Budal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 9th minute, Velimir Budal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gavrilo Dobravc made in the 13th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by FC Pirates's Valerij Lepej. Tjaš Ercegović made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Sergej Zdešar sent off a good shot on target. The crowd rose to their feet as Greenhorns's Medard Štefančič slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Tjaš Ercegović. That made the score 1-0 after 21 minutes of play. After having played for 31 minutes, Medard Štefančič managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Greenhorns's supporters crossed their fingers, but Medard Štefančič was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ožbalt Žabkar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Henrik Osterman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 40th match minute, Greenhorns was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Val Gostojić to maneuver through the defense. In the 41st minute Ožbalt Žabkar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henrik Osterman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tjaš Ercegović showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Medard Štefančič, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Medard Štefančič was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Devin Škrgić left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Pirates fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Greenhorns's Henrik Osterman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Devin Škrgić in the 62nd minute of play. After 63 minutes, Inot Petrič mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Greenhorns and the FC Pirates players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of FC Pirates booed when Greenhorns was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Inot Petrič didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tjaš Ercegović showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Inot Petrič in the 69th minute of the match. Greenhorns's defense didn't have a chance, in the 71st minute, when Devin Škrgić scored to the left of an out of position Henrik Osterman, making the score, 1-2. When Medard Štefančič came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Greenhorns fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Medard Štefančič couldn't finish the play. Devin Škrgić sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When FC Pirates's Devin Škrgić in the 92nd minute got a chance for a shot 92nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
