With 5 minutes on the clock, Valon Šumej commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 4th minute of the game. One of NK Kranj:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of FC OPA:s goal. Mavro Primar scored 0-2 in the 9th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rios Salgado, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 12th minute Mavro Primar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rios Salgado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 13th minute Andrijan Greiser shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rios Salgado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mavro Primar in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rios Salgado prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 25 played minutes FC OPA got a freekick which was hit by Aldin Prelog. Rios Salgado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mavro Primar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 30 minutes had been played when some careless play by NK Kranj's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Lukasz Orling was slow to take the kick. During this time FC OPA's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Lukasz Orling almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but NK Kranj's Rios Salgado did a great save. 31 minutes into the match, NK Kranj's goal looked a bit too open when Mavro Primar came free, but Rios Salgado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ferdo Platiše in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aita Zaplana saved FC OPA from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Roy Keane's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rios Salgado was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. In the 36thth minute of the game Mavro Primar who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but NK Kranj's Rios Salgado was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 37 minutes into the game, FC OPA's Roy Keane nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rios Salgado made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. After a defensive mix-up in NK Kranj's zone, Mavro Primar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rios Salgado came out of the goal and Mavro Primar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 47th minute, Roy Keane ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rios Salgado was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-6.

The wind increased when Roy Keane made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Mavro Primar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rios Salgado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. NK Kranj's Rios Salgado proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save NK Kranj from getting a goal against them. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Medin Makuc during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 58 played minutes NK Kranj got a freekick which was hit by Medin Makuc. A collision led to NK Kranj getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Medin Makuc hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Mavro Primar managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC OPA's supporters rose to their feet, but Mavro Primar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rios Salgado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Roy Keane came free with the goalkeeper in the 62nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Rios Salgado could save by the left post. In the 67th minute, Živko Indihar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rios Salgado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mavro Primar in the 69th minute of play. Roy Keane could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Rios Salgado made a huge save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mavro Primar in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rios Salgado saved NK Kranj from getting behind. The crowd rose to their feet as Mavro Primar kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Rios Salgado. That made the score 0-7 in the 73 minute of play. 81 minutes into the game, Mavro Primar recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Rios Salgado. Mavro Primar showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-8. Dragoljub Kopše's late challenge caught a FC OPA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dragoljub Kopše helped the player get up and apologised. Aldin Prelog received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Rios Salgado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 92 played minutes, FC OPA's Milovan Šolman shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Rios Salgado came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC OPA reached it. When the match was over FC OPA could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than NK Kranj throughout the match.
