After 2 minutes, Milutin Vogrič mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Å entjernej ND and the Greenhorns players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 2nd match minute, Å entjernej ND was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Milutin Vogrič to maneuver through the defense. When Ostoja Žuža fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Å entjernej ND's protests and gave Ostoja Žuža a yellow card for diving instead. After a defensive mix-up in Greenhorns's zone, Chris Pikelj stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Henrik Osterman came out of the goal and Chris Pikelj tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sergej Zdešars short, quick shot in the 10thth minute got Mavro SerdinÅ¡ek to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 11th match minute, Å entjernej ND was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elio Jokić to maneuver through the defense. Medard Štefančič fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mavro SerdinÅ¡ek having to interfere. RadoÅ¡ TuÅ¡ar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 19th minute Chris Pikelj shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henrik Osterman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 24 minutes, Medard Štefančič managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Greenhorns's supporters crossed their fingers, but Medard Štefančič was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Å entjernej ND's zone, Medard Štefančič stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mavro SerdinÅ¡ek came out of the goal and Medard Štefančič tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Greenhorns's Henrik Osterman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by RadoÅ¡ TuÅ¡ar in the 30th minute of play. After 32 played minutes Greenhorns got a freekick which was hit by Dorian Bizaj. When Greenhorns's Medard Štefančič in the 34th minute got a chance for a shot 34th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Å entjernej ND's goalie prevented a goal. A hard shot 37 in the game by Sergej Zdešar from a close distance when the talented Mavro SerdinÅ¡ek managed to make a qualified save. Å entjernej ND's players were relieved. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Medard Štefančič in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mavro SerdinÅ¡ek saved Å entjernej ND from getting behind. Medard Štefančič sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Chris Pikelj made the kick off in the second half. Medard Štefančič received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Å entjernej ND's Mavro SerdinÅ¡ek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Medard Štefančič in the 90th minute of play. After 90 minutes of play, Greenhorns's Medard Štefančič made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mavro SerdinÅ¡ek was left in no man's land by his defense there!
