Ecij Mihalek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ecij Mihalek in the 10th minute of play forced Ribnica na Pohorju's goalkeeper Bernard Kolman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ecij Mihalek took the ball and in the 10 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bernard Kolman. Bernard Kolman dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Zorko Andrić took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zdravko Buh, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bernard Kolman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ecij Mihalek, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. In the 27thth minute of the game Ecij Mihalek who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ribnica na Pohorju's Bernard Kolman was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 28th minute Ecij Mihalek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernard Kolman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bernard Kolman didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rado Gruntar went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. NK Kočevje's Zorko Andrić played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zdravko Buh in the 32nd minute of play. Almir Franko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zorko Andrić having to interfere. In the 38th minute, Luc Ahlin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ribnica na Pohorju's Bernard Kolman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ecij Mihalek in the 41st minute of play. If Ecij Mihalek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 44 minutes, Ecij Mihalek managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. NK Kočevje's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ecij Mihalek was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. NK Kočevje's Zorko Andrić played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Almir Franko in the 48th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The wind increased when Zdravko Buh made the kick off in the second half. After 54 played minutes NK Kočevje got a freekick which was hit by Luc Ahlin. Bernard Kolman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rado Gruntar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 59 minutes into the match, Rado Gruntar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bernard Kolman. Ribnica na Pohorju's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rado Gruntar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. 63 minutes into the match, Ribnica na Pohorju's goal looked a bit too open when Rado Gruntar came free, but Bernard Kolman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 68th minute Čedomir Birk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernard Kolman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ecij Mihalek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The NK Kočevje fans' excitement grew in the 76th match minute when NK Kočevje's Ecij Mihalek looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 84thth minute of the game Ecij Mihalek who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ribnica na Pohorju's Bernard Kolman was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Rado Gruntar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luc Ahlin in the 92nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bernard Kolman saved Ribnica na Pohorju from getting behind. When the referee ended the match the NK Kočevje players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
