With a couple of smart ball manuevers Andreas Apelquist in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edvin Tinglöf saved Sundsvall United from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sten Wenerdahl in the 4th minute of play forced Vedum BF's goalkeeper Jan-Åke Hellbom to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sten Bark's late challenge caught a Vedum BF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sten Bark helped the player get up and apologised. After 6 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Sundsvall United! Edvin Tinglöf stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Andreas Apelquist's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. Charlie Sjöman blasted a shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Edvin Tinglöf having to make a save. Andreas Apelquist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pär Vacker in the 14th minute of play forced Vedum BF's goalkeeper Jan-Åke Hellbom to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Sundsvall United getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Melker Gustafsson hit a great ball. Sten Wenerdahl could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Jan-Åke Hellbom made a huge save. In the 21stth minute of the game Andreas Apelquist who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sundsvall United's Edvin Tinglöf was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Andreas Apelquist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 28th minute, Andreas Apelquist ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Edvin Tinglöf was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Melker Gustafsson came free with the goalkeeper in the 31st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Jan-Åke Hellbom could save by the left post. Jan-Åke Hellbom took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sten Wenerdahl, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Sundsvall United's zone, Andreas Apelquist stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edvin Tinglöf came out of the goal and Andreas Apelquist tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Andreas Apelquist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Charlie Sjöman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 45th minute, Sten Bark hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jarl Busk's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edvin Tinglöf read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pär Vacker was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sten Wenerdahl in the 54th minute of play forced Vedum BF's goalkeeper Jan-Åke Hellbom to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pär Vacker kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Sten Bark hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. 61 minutes into the game, Pär Vacker was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sundsvall United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vedum BF the free kick. After 61 played minutes Sundsvall United got a freekick which was hit by Pär Vacker. In the 64th minute, Per Nordin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jan-Åke Hellbom showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pär Vacker in the 67th minute of the match. Edvin Tinglöf made an important save on a dangerous shot by Andreas Apelquist in the 69th minute. In the 79th minute, Andreas Apelquist got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 81st minute, one of Sundsvall United:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Sundsvall United. The score was 1-3 after a penalty in the 82nd minute, where Vedum BF:s Jarl Busk tricked Sundsvall United:s Edvin Tinglöf with a difficult ball by the left post. When Charlie Sjöman came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Vedum BF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Charlie Sjöman couldn't finish the play. After 94 played minutes Sundsvall United got a freekick which was hit by Gösta Wiklund. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Andreas Apelquist in the 97th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edvin Tinglöf prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Vedum BF played a much better game than Sundsvall United and deserved their victory. The Sundsvall United players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
