Spectators: 7310 (Terracing: 5484, Seating: 1681, VIP seats: 145) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. John Waller started the match with the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ulf Hasselqvist during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Rafa Tavares took the ball and in the 4 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Folke Lange. Folke Lange dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Dinei Paraibano kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Folke Lange took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dinei Paraibano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Dinei Paraibano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Folke Lange was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. After 22 played minutes Djurgårdens if got a freekick which was hit by Villiam Sundberg. With a little luck, Djurgårdens if's Peycho Vaklinov got control of the ball when Niclas Kuse tried to sneak it across the goal line. Djurgårdens if's Peycho Vaklinov proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Djurgårdens if from getting a goal against them. 31 minutes into the match, MIlan's goal looked a bit too open when Rafa Tavares came free, but Folke Lange reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rafa Tavares scored 0-2 in the 33rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Folke Lange, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 39 minutes of play, Djurgårdens if's Dinei Paraibano made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Folke Lange was left in no man's land by his defense there! The MIlan players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Djurgårdens if were winning 0-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rafa Tavares stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A hard shot 52 in the game by Dinei Paraibano from a close distance when the talented Folke Lange managed to make a qualified save. MIlan's players were relieved. Folke Lange was out of position in the 53 minute of play, and Rafa Tavares capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Rafa Tavares really showed his touch with that goal: 0-4. After a rather tough play, Djurgårdens if's Kim Jonasson got a free kick in the 58th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by John Waller in the 61st minute of play forced Djurgårdens if's goalkeeper Peycho Vaklinov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 63rdth minute of the game John Waller who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Djurgårdens if's Peycho Vaklinov was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Peycho Vaklinov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ulf Hasselqvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Djurgårdens if's goalie and right to John Waller. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Djurgårdens if's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. In the 71st minute Algot Eskilsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Peycho Vaklinov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Folke Lange made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafa Tavares in the 73rd minute of play. Peycho Vaklinov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from John Waller in the 75th minute of the match. Folke Lange made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Dinei Paraibano sent off a good shot on target. If Dinei Paraibano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
