Emanuel Kilström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hubert Hybbert in the 10th minute of the match. Dag Åberg charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dag Åberg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 12 played minutes Lönneberga got a freekick which was hit by Dag Åberg. If Olof Ekström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 24 minutes of play, östersund's Olof Ekström made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Per-Åke Petersson was left in no man's land by his defense there! Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Olof Ekström in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Per-Åke Petersson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. östersund's Olof Ekström got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Per-Åke Petersson came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by östersund's Olof Ekström. But to his dismay, Olof Ekström quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Anatoliy Kotyuk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Per-Åke Petersson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Anatoliy Kotyuk was the one to do the kick off. Anatoliy Kotyuk's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Per-Åke Petersson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. Anatoliy Kotyuk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Per-Åke Petersson having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Anatoliy Kotyuk managed to get in a good position for a shot. östersund's supporters rose to their feet, but Anatoliy Kotyuk was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Per-Åke Petersson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Olof Ekström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Per-Åke Petersson having to interfere. Torsten Andberg charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Torsten Andberg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 95th minute, Torsten Andberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. östersund's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
