The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After having played for 7 minutes, Egon Holmgren managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kallinge IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Egon Holmgren was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Håkan Holmstedt in the 8th minute of play forced FC Funäs's goalkeeper Christopher Biörkman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Egon Holmgren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Christopher Biörkman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Håkan Holmstedt, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Håkan Holmstedt in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Christopher Biörkman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. FC Funäs's Sven-Åke Classon got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sven-Edvin Drewitz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Osvald Vennersten, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. If Sven-Åke Classon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 61 played minutes Kallinge IF got a freekick which was hit by Bo-Erik Abrahamsson. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sven-Åke Classon got free with Sven-Edvin Drewitz in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 68 minutes, Jan-Ove Ek mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Funäs and the Kallinge IF players grew even worse after the yellow card. 67 minutes into the game, one of FC Funäs:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Christopher Biörkman had in the 69thth minute some difficulties stopping Kristoffer Zachrisson's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After 71 minutes FC Funäs's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Kristoffer Zachrisson who took care of the corner kick. If Håkan Holmstedt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FC Funäs's Christopher Biörkman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Håkan Holmstedt in the 84th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 87 minutes, Håkan Holmstedt put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Christopher Biörkman. Christopher Biörkman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Egon Holmgren in the 94th minute of play. The supporters of FC Funäs booed when Kallinge IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bo-Erik Abrahamsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 97 minutes, Per-Olof Blom mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kallinge IF and the FC Funäs players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 96th minute, one of Kallinge IF:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Kallinge IF. Emanuel Salkvist shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. FC Funäs's Christopher Biörkman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Egon Holmgren in the 101st minute of play. Kallinge IF's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
