Spectators: 6672 (Terracing: 5005, Seating: 1660, VIP seats: 7) Oscarshamn United's Richard Blom started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Olov Albäck acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 3rd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Nils-Åke Jönsätt. After a defensive mix-up in Oscarshamn United's zone, Ingvar Hammarström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Olov Albäck came out of the goal and Ingvar Hammarström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ingvar Hammarström got free with Olov Albäck in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 10th minute Alf Möller shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olov Albäck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 11 minutes into the game, Richard Blom cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Vilhelm Holmberg was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Richard Blom in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vilhelm Holmberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 17 minutes into the game, David Browall cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Vilhelm Holmberg was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Olov Albäck made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Ingvar Hammarström sent off a good shot on target. After 24 minutes, David Browall mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Oscarshamn United and the Norrfjärden players grew even worse after the yellow card. Olov Albäck took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alf Möller, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vilhelm Holmberg came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Oscarshamn United's Richard Blom. But to his dismay, Richard Blom quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. In the 34th minute of the match, Alf Möller tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Olov Albäck saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Jonathan Jonasson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After the first half Oscarshamn United were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alf Möller was the one to do the kick off. In the 62nd minute Richard Blom shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vilhelm Holmberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 63 minutes into the game, Alf Möller cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Olov Albäck was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ingvar Hammarström in the 67th minute of play forced Oscarshamn United's goalkeeper Olov Albäck to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vilhelm Holmberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonathan Jonasson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Oscarshamn United defense, Carl Jönsson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Olov Albäck. The Oscarshamn United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Olov Albäck should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alf Möller in the 78th minute of play forced Oscarshamn United's goalkeeper Olov Albäck to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Olov Albäck took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alf Möller, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ingvar Hammarström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olov Albäck having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Alf Möller managed to get in a good position for a shot. Norrfjärden's supporters rose to their feet, but Alf Möller was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Olov Albäck breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Oscarshamn United players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
