Holger Kristiansson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Harry Sundström having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Holger Kristiansson got free with Harry Sundström in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Malte Beckman during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Manchester City's Malte Beckman got a free kick in the 7th minute. The supporters of FC Milkaby booed when Manchester City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Malte Beckman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Harry Sundström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Evert Österlund, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Pål Strandberg fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Milkaby's protests and gave Pål Strandberg a yellow card for diving instead. After 21 played minutes FC Milkaby got a freekick which was hit by Pål Strandberg. FC Milkaby's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kent Stålberg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. If Kent Stålberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 41stth minute of the game Kent Stålberg who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Milkaby's Bror Blomqvist was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Kent Stålberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Evert Österlund was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Holger Kristiansson in the 52nd minute of play forced Manchester City's goalkeeper Harry Sundström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 55 minutes of play, FC Milkaby's David Berggren made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Harry Sundström was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 60th minute Evert Österlund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Harry Sundström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 64 minutes into the match, Manchester City's goal looked a bit too open when Holger Kristiansson came free, but Harry Sundström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Evert Österlund sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Holger Kristiansson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Manchester City's Harry Sundström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evert Österlund in the 77th minute of play. Folke Holmgren kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Manchester City's Folke Holmgren got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lucas Ånger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 90 minutes into the match, Manchester City's goal looked a bit too open when David Berggren came free, but Harry Sundström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Malte Beckman was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 90 minutes had been played. In the 91st match minute, Manchester City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Malte Beckman to maneuver through the defense. Harry Sundström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Evert Österlund, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. In the 94th minute, Kent Stålberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Evert Österlund received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Harry Sundström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
