The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th match minute, Bosanski Brod FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sigvard Danielsson to maneuver through the defense. 5 minutes into the match, Bosanski Brod FK's goal looked a bit too open when Elliott Deckberg came free, but Folke Söderkvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Elliott Deckberg let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 9th minute shot 1-0 at rihgt post. A collision led to Bosanski Brod FK getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Kaj Åkerberg hit a great ball. Ture Bjursell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. After 25 played minutes WILD BOYS got a freekick which was hit by Vincent Östlund. After a rather tough play, WILD BOYS's Sten Norström got a free kick in the 27th minute. Conny Hedbom made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sigvard Danielsson in the 29th minute of play. Conny Hedbom took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kaj Åkerberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Conny Hedbom showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Per-Erik Forss, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Conny Hedbom stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sigvard Danielsson's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. When the match clock showed 38 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Sigvard Danielsson sped through WILD BOYS's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Conny Hedbom. 48 minutes into the match, Kaj Åkerberg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Conny Hedbom. WILD BOYS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kaj Åkerberg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. WILD BOYS's Christer Drake was substituted for Vincent Östlund. WILD BOYS's Magne Lindholm was substituted for Johan Bergström. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kaj Åkerberg was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 55 minutes, Ture Bjursell managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. WILD BOYS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ture Bjursell was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 64th minute Kaj Åkerberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Conny Hedbom saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 66th minute Elliott Deckberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Folke Söderkvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Bosanski Brod FK's Peter Ahlrot got a free kick in the 70th minute. After having played for 71 minutes, Elliott Deckberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Peter Ahlrot showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-6. After a rather tough play, WILD BOYS's Sten Norström got a free kick in the 98th minute. In the 99th minute, Bosanski Brod FK's Gösta Lundblad ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Conny Hedbom. Conny Hedbom yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-7. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Bosanski Brod FK eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
