A collision led to AIK getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Bror Granqvist hit a great ball. If Bengt-Åke Modig had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rickard Vall fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Torsten Hjortberg having to interfere. In the 15th minute, Magnus Jansson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tord Lindgren struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Peder Kellberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Torsten Hjortberg made a huge save. After 25 played minutes Rickard Vall rounded AIK's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. Torsten Hjortberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Henning Gummeson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Peder Kellberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 37 minutes, Rickard Vall managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Barsele BK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rickard Vall was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. AIK's Torsten Hjortberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Peder Kellberg in the 40th minute of play. Rickard Vall sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Svante Alin struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. The wind increased when Tord Lindgren made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Svante Alin in the 53rd minute of play forced AIK's goalkeeper Torsten Hjortberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 53 minutes, Bror Granqvist mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AIK and the Barsele BK players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Barsele BK booed when AIK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bror Granqvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 78 minutes into the match, AIK's goal looked a bit too open when Svante Alin came free, but Torsten Hjortberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Peder Kellberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 82ndth minute of the game Bengt-Åke Modig who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but AIK's Torsten Hjortberg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A very good chance for a goal. Rickard Vall took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Torsten Hjortberg. Torsten Hjortberg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Barsele BK fully deserved thier win.
