The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Lord Bendtner's Hans Asmundsson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save Lord Bendtner from getting a goal against them. Jimmy Thorsberg struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Hans Asmundsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hallabro. Hans Asmundsson was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ian Glad showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 12 minute of play. Hans Asmundsson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ian Glad's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Jimmy Thorsberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hallabro's supporters rose to their feet, but Jimmy Thorsberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hans Asmundsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hallabro's Per Abelsson quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Jörgen Landin, made in the 19th minute of the game. In the 20th minute, Jimmy Thorsberg fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. The audience was convinced that Ian Glad's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hans Asmundsson was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. Hans Asmundsson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ian Glad's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. Jimmy Thorsberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ian Glad in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hans Asmundsson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 41 minutes into the match, Conny Fransson notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Hallabro's Robert Gunnarsson. Robert Gunnarsson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Hallabro's Ian Glad in 44 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Hans Asmundsson guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Ian Glad recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jimmy Thorsberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ian Glad made a kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Lord Bendtner's goal looked a bit too open when Ulf Mellbad came free, but Hans Asmundsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Jimmy Thorsberg came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Hallabro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jimmy Thorsberg couldn't finish the play. In the 56th match minute, Lord Bendtner was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ludvig Mattsson to maneuver through the defense. Ian Glad fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hans Asmundsson having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Lord Bendtner's zone, Ian Glad stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hans Asmundsson came out of the goal and Ian Glad tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Jimmy Thorsberg came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Hallabro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jimmy Thorsberg couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Conny Fransson in the 68th minute of play forced Hallabro's goalkeeper Robert Gunnarsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 69th minute, Jimmy Thorsberg left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hallabro fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. When Per Abelsson fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hallabro's protests and gave Per Abelsson a yellow card for diving instead. 74 minutes into the game, one of Hallabro:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had been going on for 76 minutes, Lord Bendtner's Ludvig Mattsson got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Robert Gunnarsson. 82 minutes into the match, Lord Bendtner's goal looked a bit too open when Jimmy Thorsberg came free, but Hans Asmundsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. 94 minutes into the match, Hallabro's Ian Glad sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hans Asmundsson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ian Glad in the 96th minute of play forced Lord Bendtner's goalkeeper Hans Asmundsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Jimmy Thorsberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
