Sköldinge IK's Ingvar Broman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save Sköldinge IK from getting a goal against them. Bo Sundström could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Ingvar Broman made a huge save. Mikael Kaxe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rune Kielstedt having to interfere. Ture Alberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Rune Kielstedt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mikael Kaxe struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Rune Kielstedt didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sköldinge IK. Rune Kielstedt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jens-Ola Larsson hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Michael Pilblad sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 44 minutes into the match, Sköldinge IK's goal looked a bit too open when Michael Pilblad came free, but Ingvar Broman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Michael Pilblad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Michael Pilblad to make the kick off. Bo Sundström struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Michael Pilblad ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 77th minute, Bo Sundström got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hans Fredriksson's late challenge caught a Sköldinge IK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hans Fredriksson helped the player get up and apologised. In the 91st match minute, Bastuträsk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hans Fredriksson to maneuver through the defense.
