The Vargön fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Arvin Fredriksson struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Roy Wennerqvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ian Alegren having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Vargön's William Engström got a free kick in the 22nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Viktor Vester in the 26th minute of play forced Hässelby FF's goalkeeper Ian Alegren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ian Alegren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roy Wennerqvist in the 29th minute of the match. Vargön's Marko Norberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arvin Fredriksson in the 30th minute of play. Arvin Fredriksson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Vargön booed when Hässelby FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Calle Karlsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. 42 minutes into the game, Villiam Uter was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hässelby FF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vargön the free kick. 41 minutes into the game, one of Hässelby FF:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Ian Alegren went to the wrong direction when William Engström was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. If Viktor Vester had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After the first half Vargön were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Arvin Fredriksson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Lennart Nilsson fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hässelby FF's protests and gave Lennart Nilsson a yellow card for diving instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Roy Wennerqvist kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ian Alegren. That made the score 0-2 in the 61 minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Roy Wennerqvist in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ian Alegren saved Hässelby FF from getting behind. Hässelby FF's Lennart Nilsson got his second yellow card of the match in the 69th minute. The referee ordered Lennart Nilsson off the ground. In the 70th minute, Lennart Nilsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 74 minutes, Roy Wennerqvist made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. Hässelby FF's Ian Alegren tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Vargön getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Viktor Vester hit a great ball. In the 83rd minute, Vargön's Roy Wennerqvist dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-4. After a defensive mix-up in Hässelby FF's zone, Viktor Vester stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ian Alegren came out of the goal and Viktor Vester tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ian Alegren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roy Wennerqvist in the 89th minute of the match. Ian Alegren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roy Wennerqvist in the 94th minute of play.
