The audience was convinced that Sven-Ove Lönn's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sten Magnusson was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. A collision led to Tokman FC getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Tokman FC's Sten Magnusson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sivert Mikaelsson in the 17th minute of play. 23 minutes into the game, Albin Barck was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tokman FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nässjö IFK the free kick. In the 23rd match minute, Tokman FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albin Barck to maneuver through the defense. Magnus Hellqvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joar Snell having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Magnus Hellqvist got free with Joar Snell in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sten Magnusson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sivert Mikaelsson in the 47th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sivert Mikaelsson to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Sivert Mikaelsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nässjö IFK's supporters rose to their feet, but Sivert Mikaelsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sten Magnusson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 54th minute, Sivert Mikaelsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sven-Ove Lönn's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Sten Magnusson firmly grabbed it by the left post. Joar Snell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albin Barck in the 58th minute of play. Sven-Åke Alén's late challenge caught a Nässjö IFK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
