Östmark IFK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sydkoster FK the free kick. After 3 played minutes Östmark IFK got a freekick which was hit by Egon Norberg. Östmark IFK's Sonny Lidman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aleksander Berg in the 6th minute of play. Fabian Alkvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Urban Siöberg having to interfere. Urban Siöberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabian Alkvist in the 16th minute of the match. In the 18thth minute of the game Fabian Alkvist who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sydkoster FK's Urban Siöberg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Urban Siöberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabian Alkvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. 21 minutes into the game, Olov Nordgren was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The tension between the Östmark IFK and the Sydkoster FK players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 36th match minute, Östmark IFK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rune Boman to maneuver through the defense. Sydkoster FK's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gösta Olsson in the 39th minute. In the 41st minute of the match Sydkoster FK got a corner. Östmark IFK's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gösta Olsson ran over to the corner to take the kick. Sydkoster FK's Gösta Olsson was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Sonny Lidman in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. If Börje Mattsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Börje Mattsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sonny Lidman having to interfere.

Urban Siöberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabian Alkvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Mark Wik's late challenge caught a Östmark IFK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. An unexpected shot in the 91st minute by Mark Blixt got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabian Alkvist in the 92nd minute of play forced Sydkoster FK's goalkeeper Urban Siöberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Östmark IFK defense, Olov Nordgren kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sonny Lidman. The Östmark IFK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sonny Lidman should have stopped the shot.
