Hammar FF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pär Nordin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Nils Dalström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Verner Landin having to interfere. Pär Nordin took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Olof Fanström. Olof Fanström dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Konrad Lundberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Verner Landin having to interfere. In the 20th minute Billy Sellberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olof Fanström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 24th minute, Nils Dalström got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Konrad Lundberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Hammar FF fans' excitement grew in the 28th match minute when Hammar FF's Nils Dalström looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. During the 37th minute of the match Charles Wiman completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Charles Wiman a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. A collision led to 68 United getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Charles Wiman hit a great ball. Nils Dalström struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Verner Landin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hammar FF. In the 45th minute, Nils Dalström ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Verner Landin was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Richard Skoglund during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Hammar FF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nils Dalström was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Verner Landin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nils Dalström in the 76th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Konrad Lundberg in the 78th minute of play forced 68 United's goalkeeper Verner Landin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Konrad Lundberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Verner Landin having to interfere. The goalkeeper, Olof Fanström, was totally fooled by 68 United's Lars Almqvist, who 86 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. After a rather tough play, Hammar FF's Vidar Åberg got a free kick in the 90th minute. After a defensive mix-up in 68 United's zone, Konrad Lundberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Verner Landin came out of the goal and Konrad Lundberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nils Dalström in the 94th minute of play forced 68 United's goalkeeper Verner Landin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nils Dalström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
