Jörgen Linquist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hampus Johansson, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Vidar Jonasson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hovås's supporters rose to their feet, but Vidar Jonasson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jörgen Linquist breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 19 minutes into the match, R.I.P. Kurbs United's goal looked a bit too open when Vidar Jonasson came free, but Jörgen Linquist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jakob Nord during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 20th minute, Jakob Nord hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 21 minutes, Sixten Karlsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hovås's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sixten Karlsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vidar Jonasson couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sixten Karlsson in the 31st minute of play forced R.I.P. Kurbs United's goalkeeper Jörgen Linquist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vidar Jonasson scored 0-1 in the 33rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jörgen Linquist, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Sixten Karlsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 49th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half Hovås were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sixten Karlsson to make the kick off. In the 59th minute, Sixten Karlsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Vidar Jonasson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jörgen Linquist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sixten Karlsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sixten Karlsson in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jörgen Linquist prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Vidar Jonasson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hovås's supporters rose to their feet, but Vidar Jonasson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jörgen Linquist breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 75th match minute, R.I.P. Kurbs United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jakob Nord to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, R.I.P. Kurbs United's Hugo Vall got a free kick in the 82nd minute. In the 83rd minute of the match Hampus Johansson sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jörgen Linquist skillfully saved the ball. Per-Arne Hedlund took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ove Bredberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sixten Karlsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jörgen Linquist having to interfere. Hovås played a much better game than R.I.P. Kurbs United and deserved their victory. The R.I.P. Kurbs United players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
