Valter Palmkvist came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by Ärla IF's Sven-Edvin Bjursell. But to his dismay, Sven-Edvin Bjursell quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Valter Palmkvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Inge Göransson in the 12th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Inge Göransson in the 17th minute of play forced BYT NAMN's goalkeeper Valter Palmkvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 23rd minute, Inge Göransson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half Ärla IF were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Ärla IF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Elliott Abrahamsson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. With a little luck, BYT NAMN's Valter Palmkvist got control of the ball when Sven-Edvin Bjursell tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ärla IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Inge Göransson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 93rdth minute of the game Inge Göransson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but BYT NAMN's Valter Palmkvist was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.
