After a defensive mix-up in Tornado FC's zone, Tomas Deckbergh stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hannes Vester came out of the goal and Tomas Deckbergh tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Joachim Gustafsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albin Vallander having to interfere. In the 16th match minute, Tornado FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jens-Erik Pihlblad to maneuver through the defense. In the 19th of the match, Björn Ståhlberg tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Hannes Vester got in the way and made a wonderful save. After 20 played minutes Tornado FC got a freekick which was hit by Tommy Ekström. When Henric Vennerberg fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tornado FC's protests and gave Henric Vennerberg a yellow card for diving instead. In the 24th match minute, Tornado FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Henric Vennerberg to maneuver through the defense. Hannes Vester took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Björn Ståhlberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Tornado FC's Jens-Erik Pihlblad got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Tornado FC's Ludvig Andberg managed to work through City Slickers's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Ludvig Andberg dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Ludvig Andberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Albin Vallander tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joachim Gustafsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albin Vallander having to interfere. Joachim Gustafsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ludvig Andberg was the one to do the kick off. Hannes Vester made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rasmus Pihlberg in the 51st minute of play. If Ludvig Andberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stig-Ove Säf hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. After 59 played minutes, City Slickers's Sixten Löfgren shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Hannes Vester came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in City Slickers reached it. Albin Vallander made an important save on a dangerous shot by Joachim Gustafsson in the 62nd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sixten Löfgren during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 63rd minute of the game. One of City Slickers:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Tornado FC:s goal. The referee gave Tornado FC a penalty, 65 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Georg Ekrot, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of City Slickers's Albin Vallander. 0-1. Tornado FC's Hannes Vester played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Björn Ståhlberg in the 68th minute of play. Tomas Deckbergh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hannes Vester stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomas Deckbergh's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. In the 73rd match minute, Tornado FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Henric Vennerberg to maneuver through the defense. Björn Ståhlberg struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Hannes Vester didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for City Slickers. Albin Vallander showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ludvig Andberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute.
