The referee ignored Dals Långed's protests and gave Joakim Söderman a yellow card for diving instead. Claes Hernström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Leonard Hellkvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Swoop's Per Wallander got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jan-Olof Mogren got free with Torgny Larsson in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 37th minute, Joakim Söderman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tim Henriksson kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Kurt Nyberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Torgny Larsson having to interfere. Torgny Larsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matthias Lindström in the 47th minute of the match.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Claes Hernström was the one to do the kick off. Thanks to some nice moves Claes Hernström could shoot a difficult shot in the 55th minute, which Leonard Hellkvist however easily saved by the left post. In the 55th match minute, Dals Långed was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joakim Söderman to maneuver through the defense. Claes Hernström could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Leonard Hellkvist made a huge save. If Helge Skoglund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Matthias Lindström kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Claes Hernström struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Leonard Hellkvist didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Swoop. Claes Hernström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonard Hellkvist having to interfere. Kurt Nyberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jan-Olof Mogren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Torgny Larsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Torgny Larsson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jan-Olof Mogren went, in the 76th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in Dals Långed's zone, Claes Hernström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leonard Hellkvist came out of the goal and Claes Hernström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Swoop's Torgny Larsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jan-Olof Mogren in the 90th minute of play. Torgny Larsson had in the 93rdth minute some difficulties stopping Torgny Widberg's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Dals Långed's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
