Michel Gerdberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Kurt Fredriksson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tage Norberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sigvard Eriksson, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. George Frisk recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gunnarsbyn FK's Kurt Fredriksson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Michel Gerdberg in the 25th minute of play. After having played for 29 minutes, Reine Bolander managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gunnarsbyn FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Reine Bolander was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sigvard Eriksson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sigvard Eriksson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Reine Bolander managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gunnarsbyn FK's supporters rose to their feet, but Reine Bolander was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tage Norberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gunnarsbyn FK were furious when Harry Hult was red carded, 46 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in Gunnarsbyn FK fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 45th minute. Penalty! Kurt Fredriksson went to the wrong direction when Egil Månsson was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Michel Gerdberg to make the kick off. George Frisk might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kurt Fredriksson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. George Frisk ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 60th minute, Kjell Bolin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kjell Bolin kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Aleksander Jonasson hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. If Aleksander Jonasson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Robert Nyman hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Michel Gerdberg blasted a shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kurt Fredriksson having to make a save. Kurt Fredriksson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Michel Gerdberg in the 88th minute of the match. With a little luck, Gunnarsbyn FK's Kurt Fredriksson got control of the ball when George Frisk tried to sneak it across the goal line. Michel Gerdberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kurt Fredriksson having to interfere.
