The supporters of Athletic Club Onsala booed when Kälkets BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Niklas Vall didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 29th minute, Per-Erik Westerstrand hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Kälkets BK's Bo-Erik Björk got control of the ball when Eric Söderquist tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 34th minute Allan Almqvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bo-Erik Björk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kälkets BK's Bo-Erik Björk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Allan Almqvist in the 39th minute of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jan-Erik Söderqwist stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Allan Almqvist blasted a shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bo-Erik Björk having to make a save. If Allan Almqvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Athletic Club Onsala's Lucas Kilberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Athletic Club Onsala from getting a goal against them. When Eric Söderquist came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Athletic Club Onsala fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eric Söderquist couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Kälkets BK defense, Allan Almqvist kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bo-Erik Björk. The Kälkets BK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bo-Erik Björk should have stopped the shot. Lucas Kilberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jan-Erik Söderqwist in the 94th minute of play.
