In the 9th minute, Albert Willig got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Valter Mårtensson hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. 19 minutes into the match, Varbergs Bois's goal looked a bit too open when Elliot Jakobsson came free, but Robin Söderman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Albert Willig stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Tim Lind had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aron Mellberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 66 minutes into the match, Liden's goal looked a bit too open when Albert Willig came free, but Elias Sjögren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 67 minutes into the match, Liden's Tim Lind sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Robin Söderman narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Torgny Sjödin's late challenge caught a Varbergs Bois's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The supporters of Varbergs Bois booed when Liden was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elliot Jakobsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Despite being the better team, Varbergs Bois failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
