The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute Andy Felin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilbert Hermansson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rikard Nordlund's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gilbert Hermansson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. After having played for 13 minutes, Jerry Sandberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Teckomatorp BK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jerry Sandberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A hard shot 25 in the game by Jerry Sandberg from a close distance when the talented Folke Wallengren managed to make a qualified save. Sonics IF's players were relieved. An unexpected shot in the 26th minute by Jerry Sandberg got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Jerry Sandberg blasted a shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Folke Wallengren having to make a save. With his leg Folke Wallengren managed to avoid a goal in the 30thth minute, when Teckomatorp BK's Jerry Sandberg fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Nicklas Blom hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Jerry Sandberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Teckomatorp BK's supporters rose to their feet, but Jerry Sandberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Folke Wallengren breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Folke Wallengren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arvid Lindberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Folke Wallengren made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Jerry Sandberg sent off a good shot on target. In the 38th minute, Andy Felin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pål Beckström hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. 43 minutes had been played when some careless play by Sonics IF's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Sven Ljungberg was slow to take the kick. During this time Teckomatorp BK's players had a chance to rest. Oskar Holmgren was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. In the 44th minute, Oskar Holmgren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 46th match minute, Sonics IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pål Beckström to maneuver through the defense. Teckomatorp BK's Sven Ljungberg couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 47th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Sonics IF. After the first half Sonics IF were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rikard Nordlund was the one to do the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Arvid Lindberg notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Sonics IF's Folke Wallengren. Folke Wallengren was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 58th minute Arvid Lindberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Folke Wallengren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arvid Lindberg in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Folke Wallengren prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Teckomatorp BK getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Rune Sjögren hit a great ball. Gilbert Hermansson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rikard Nordlund, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Erling Molanders short, quick shot in the 65thth minute got Gilbert Hermansson to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Arvid Lindberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Teckomatorp BK's supporters rose to their feet, but Arvid Lindberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Folke Wallengren breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 76th minute, Arvid Lindberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Arvid Lindberg scored 3-2 in the 89th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Folke Wallengren, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jerry Sandberg blasted a shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Folke Wallengren having to make a save. Jerry Sandberg struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Folke Wallengren didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Teckomatorp BK. In the 97th minute Jerry Sandberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Folke Wallengren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. There was no doubt that Teckomatorp BK were the better team. Teckomatorp BK's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
