The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Birger Tomasson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sune Erserman in the 3rd minute. In the 6thth minute of the game Tom Broberg who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hökerum's Niklas Asserlind was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Birger Tomasson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Axel Näver in the 11th minute of play. Sune Erserman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Birger Tomasson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Platon FC's Birger Tomasson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Axel Näver in the 14th minute of play. Birger Tomasson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Axel Näver, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Axel Näver in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Birger Tomasson saved Platon FC from getting behind. Birger Tomasson had great luck who in the 18thth minute grab hold of the ball when Axel Näver from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Platon FC's Birger Tomasson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Platon FC from getting a goal against them. Birger Tomasson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Axel Näver in the 21st minute of the match. After 25 minutes, Ragnar Aronsson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hökerum and the Platon FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Fabian Granqvist was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 26th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sune Erserman got free with Birger Tomasson in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sune Erserman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Birger Tomasson having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sune Johansson to make the kick off. Birger Tomasson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sune Erserman, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sune Johansson in the 66th minute of play forced Hökerum's goalkeeper Niklas Asserlind to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 74 minutes, Sune Erserman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Birger Tomasson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 89 minutes into the match, Platon FC's goal looked a bit too open when Axel Näver came free, but Birger Tomasson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sune Erserman might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Birger Tomasson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sune Erserman ran back to his position shaking his head. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Axel Näver in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Birger Tomasson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 94 minutes, Gabriel Bergkvist mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Platon FC and the Hökerum players grew even worse after the yellow card. Axel Näver sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Platon FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
