The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A nice corner shot did that Patrick Låsberg got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Henning Forsberg quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Tommy Bergqvist made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ernst Norström in the 8th minute. Håkan Arvidsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Henning Forsberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Allan Lundström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Henning Forsberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Håkan Arvidsson in the 14th minute of the match. Arvid Stor kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Karl Lindberg in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tommy Bergqvist saved Matfors from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Håkan Arvidsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Matfors's supporters rose to their feet, but Håkan Arvidsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Henning Forsberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gatans Lag's goalkeeper Henning Forsberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Håkan Arvidsson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Tommy Bergqvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Urban Wickander in the 52nd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Matfors's zone, Karl Lindberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tommy Bergqvist came out of the goal and Karl Lindberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 55th match minute, Matfors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arvid Stor to maneuver through the defense. Karl Lindberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 61st minute Karl Lindberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Bergqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Karl Lindberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 66th minute, Lukas Blomquist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tommy Bergqvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ernst Norström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gatans Lag's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ernst Norström was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 92nd minute, Karl Lindberg left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gatans Lag fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. After a rather tough play, Gatans Lag's Hannes Lundqvist got a free kick in the 95th minute. Ivar Holm kicked well hit freekick during the 98th minute of the match. Gatans Lag were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Matfors for a fine match.
