He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Marc Hake made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tage Larsson in the 46th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Änglarna's zone, Tage Larsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marc Hake came out of the goal and Tage Larsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edvard Bergqvist was the one to do the kick off. Rune Eriksson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mårten Berg in the 54th minute of the match. After 64 minutes, Niklas Wikander mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the manchester united and the Änglarna players grew even worse after the yellow card. After recieving a nice pass, Änglarna's Björn Gregersson tried to score from far away in the 64th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ture Alrot during the 69th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ture Alrot hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Tage Larsson didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 2-2 via right post in the game's 71st minute. manchester united's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! When Tage Larsson came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the manchester united fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tage Larsson couldn't finish the play. In the 78th minute Edvard Bergqvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rune Eriksson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marc Hake made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Tage Larsson sent off a good shot on target. Eric Wästerberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. manchester united's Tage Larsson got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tage Larsson struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Marc Hake didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for manchester united. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
