With 9 minutes on the clock, Harald Forsberg commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Habo FF:s Tage Blomqvist showed great skill when he stopped Tor Clementsson:s penalty. Henric Nyman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kim Hökqvist read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. 17 minutes into the game, Ingvar Jönsson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Habo FF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave BOR FC the free kick. The supporters of BOR FC booed when Habo FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ingvar Jönsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 18th minute, Tor Clementsson sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Habo FF's Tage Blomqvist didn't even have to move. 20 minutes into the match, BOR FC's goal looked a bit too open when Henric Nyman came free, but Kim Hökqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 22nd minute Lars Hamnberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tage Blomqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tage Blomqvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andréas Andreasson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tage Blomqvist made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Jim Söderqvist sent off a good shot on target. Börje Hultin came free with the goalkeeper in the 34th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Tage Blomqvist could save by the left post. Tage Blomqvist made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jim Söderqvist in the 39th minute. Torsten Hägglund hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. 48 minutes into the match, BOR FC's Tor Clementsson broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

After some careless play in the Habo FF defense, Andréas Andreasson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tage Blomqvist. The Habo FF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tage Blomqvist should have stopped the shot. Andréas Andreasson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tage Blomqvist having to interfere. After some careless play in the Habo FF defense, Börje Hultin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tage Blomqvist. The Habo FF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tage Blomqvist should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Morgan Lind in the 71st minute of play forced Habo FF's goalkeeper Tage Blomqvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 76th minute, Lars Hamnberg left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The BOR FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Andréas Andreasson in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tage Blomqvist saved Habo FF from getting behind. Tage Blomqvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andréas Andreasson in the 81st minute of the match. 86 minutes into the match, BOR FC's goal looked a bit too open when Henric Nyman came free, but Kim Hökqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 97 minutes of play, BOR FC's Jim Söderqvist made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tage Blomqvist was left in no man's land by his defense there!
