In the 15th match minute, Färjestaden was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcus Haglund to maneuver through the defense. 15 minutes into the match, Färjestaden's goal looked a bit too open when Bengt-Åke Ljungberg came free, but Henning Lindholm reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anders Lind in the 18th minute of play forced Elanga FF's goalkeeper Kristian Björling to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Elanga FF getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Marcus Karlberg hit a great ball. Kristian Björling stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Valentin Martinsson's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. When Valentin Martinsson came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Färjestaden fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Valentin Martinsson couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Elanga FF booed when Färjestaden was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Herman Fransson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Anders Lind kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. After 44 played minutes Elanga FF got a freekick which was hit by Robin Hamnberg. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Anders Lind made the kick off in the second half. Bengt-Åke Ljungberg came free with the goalkeeper in the 54th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Henning Lindholm could save by the left post. Henning Lindholm was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Bengt-Åke Ljungberg showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-1 in the 62 minute of play. In the 71st minute, Charles Boström made a precise shot to the right of Kristian Björling. Elanga FF's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. If Bengt-Åke Ljungberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 81 minutes into the match, Valentin Martinsson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kristian Björling. Elanga FF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Valentin Martinsson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. In the 89th minute, Herman Fransson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kristian Björling was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Elanga FF's Bengt-Åke Ljungberg got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Färjestaden support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
