Birger Ekström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Birger Ekström showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 44thth minute of the game Benjamin Vennersten who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Stora Vika's Olof Levander was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Olof Levander made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benjamin Vennersten in the 46th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

In the 51st minute, Kjell Bryngelsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Ingvar Wallin came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Stora Vika fans jumped to their feet. After a defensive mix-up in Stora Vika's zone, Sven-Arne Bengtsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Olof Levander came out of the goal and Sven-Arne Bengtsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 85th minute Benjamin Vennersten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olof Levander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benjamin Vennersten fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olof Levander having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Benjamin Vennersten managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Badjis's supporters rose to their feet, but Benjamin Vennersten was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Olof Levander breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Stora Vika succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though FC Badjis had controlled the match.
