Jan-Erik Hammarberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jack Alefors, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Sten Vase fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jan-Erik Hammarberg having to interfere. Roger Flink made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valentin Säfström in the 16th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Elliott Anundsson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Roger Flink was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. 27 minutes into the game, Storebro FK's Elliott Anundsson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. A collision led to Storebro FK getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Jan Nordin hit a great ball. Sten Vase took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jan-Erik Hammarberg. Jan-Erik Hammarberg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Elliott Anundsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

Valentin Säfström was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 51st minute. Storebro FK's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Storebro FK's Valentin Säfström got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With his leg Roger Flink managed to avoid a goal in the 57thth minute, when Storebro FK's Elliott Anundsson fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The supporters of Storebro FK booed when Kälarne was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eddie Telin didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valentin Säfström in the 59th minute of play forced Kälarne's goalkeeper Roger Flink to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 60 minutes, Elliott Anundsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Storebro FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Elliott Anundsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Valentin Säfström in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Roger Flink prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 66 minutes into the match, Robert Sundén dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Roger Flink, 2-2. Robert Sundén's late challenge caught a Kälarne's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Robert Sundén helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Storebro FK's Robert Sundén got a free kick in the 70th minute. Storebro FK's Jan-Erik Hammarberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sten Vase in the 74th minute of play.
