Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Sven-Arne Strömberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ingemar Holmberg in the 3rd minute of the match. Leonardo Tham acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 10th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Rickard Nyberg. Leonardo Tham showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maximilian Drake, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Björn Söderström's late challenge caught a Motala's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Maximilian Drake in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leonardo Tham saved Jönköping from getting behind. 44 minutes into the match, Alfred Melander had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Leonardo Tham. Jönköping's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alfred Melander was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ingemar Holmberg made a kick off. Sven-Arne Strömberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Per-Olof Fors, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Per-Olof Fors received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. The audience was convinced that Alfred Melander's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Leonardo Tham was relentless in the 95th minute of the game. Motala's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
