Urban Kellberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bertil Dahlberg having to interfere. The supporters of Länghem FK booed when Östbjörka BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Börje Vedholm didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 14th minute Egon Åkesson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Håkan Larsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wilhelm Hjortsberg struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Håkan Larsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Länghem FK. Urban Kellberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 26 minutes into the match, Länghem FK's goalkeeper Bertil Dahlberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kurt Haeger. With a little luck, Länghem FK's Bertil Dahlberg got control of the ball when Kurt Haeger tried to sneak it across the goal line. Philip Malmgren charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Philip Malmgren the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Wilhelm Hjortsberg to make the kick off. Östbjörka BK's Håkan Larsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilhelm Hjortsberg in the 51st minute of play. Håkan Larsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilhelm Hjortsberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. When Gert Bolin came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Länghem FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gert Bolin couldn't finish the play. Kurt Haeger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bertil Dahlberg having to interfere. In the 63rd minute, one of Länghem FK:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Länghem FK. The referee gave Östbjörka BK a penalty, 65 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Pontus Matsson, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Länghem FK's Bertil Dahlberg. 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kurt Haeger in the 74th minute of play forced Länghem FK's goalkeeper Bertil Dahlberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wilhelm Hjortsberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Urban Lund hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Östbjörka BK's Håkan Larsson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Östbjörka BK from getting a goal against them. After 95 played minutes Östbjörka BK got a freekick which was hit by Jakob Bengtsson. Håkan Larsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wilhelm Hjortsberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Östbjörka BK had won after a very even match.
