Sven-Åke Svensson spun around in front of the goal 7 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Hakenäset IFK's goal. Alfons Gadd fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olof Klack having to interfere. 11 minutes into the game, Sven Rang cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Olof Klack was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 24 minutes into the match, Hakenäset IFK's goal looked a bit too open when Mårten Mager came free, but Melker Helander reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sven Rang during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 29th minute, Sven Rang hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Simon Juhlin fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SWAG FC's protests and gave Simon Juhlin a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to SWAG FC getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Simon Juhlin hit a great ball. Melker Helander came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by SWAG FC's Sven-Edvin Wästerberg. But to his dismay, Sven-Edvin Wästerberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Melker Helander made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Sven-Edvin Wästerberg sent off a good shot on target. 45 minutes into the match, Hakenäset IFK's goalkeeper Melker Helander had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sven-Edvin Wästerberg. Mårten Mager fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Melker Helander having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mårten Mager was the one to do the kick off. Alfons Gadd received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Olof Klack tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. During the 59th minute of the match Simon Juhlin completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Simon Juhlin a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Sven-Edvin Wästerberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Melker Helander tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Melker Helander made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sven-Edvin Wästerberg in the 69th minute of play. Alfons Gadd sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Henry Svanér sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Orvar Kellbom hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. The supporters of SWAG FC booed when Hakenäset IFK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jens-Erik Olsmann didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Sven-Edvin Wästerberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Melker Helander was relentless in the 89th minute of the game. Adam Ivarsson kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
