Patrick Widberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Allan Mårtensson in the 5th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Allan Mårtensson in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Patrick Widberg saved Simlångsdalen from getting behind. 14 minutes into the match, Simlångsdalen's goal looked a bit too open when Stig-Ove Askelöf came free, but Patrick Widberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Olov Höijer hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. In the 16th minute Allan Mårtensson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Patrick Widberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stig-Ove Askelöf sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Patrick Widberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Allan Mårtensson's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. Stig-Ove Askelöf charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Stig-Ove Askelöf the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Funäsdalen BF getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Stig-Ove Askelöf hit a great ball. If Stig-Ove Askelöf had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Allan Mårtensson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Allan Mårtensson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patrick Widberg having to interfere. In the 45th minute, Thomas Löv hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Stig-Ove Askelöf in the 46th managed to get into a good position. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Allan Mårtensson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Thomas Löv kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. 56 minutes in the game, Stig-Ove Askelöf dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. After 59 played minutes Simlångsdalen got a freekick which was hit by Sven Britz. The long shot by Per-Olof Kilberg in the 61st minute really tested Patrick Widberg's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 64th match minute, Simlångsdalen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olov Höijer to maneuver through the defense. Allan Mårtensson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Stig-Ove Askelöf managed to get in a good position for a shot. Funäsdalen BF's supporters rose to their feet, but Stig-Ove Askelöf was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Patrick Widberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Funäsdalen BF booed when Simlångsdalen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sigvard Forsell didn't get a good kick on the ball. Allan Mårtensson received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Patrick Widberg came out and tried to block the shot, but Allan Mårtensson slotted it home off the left post making it 0-1 in the 80th minute. Stig-Ove Askelöf sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Simlångsdalen's Patrick Widberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Simlångsdalen from getting a goal against them. Stig-Ove Askelöf fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patrick Widberg having to interfere. Stig-Ove Askelöf came free with the goalkeeper in the 93rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Patrick Widberg could save by the left post. 93 minutes into the game, Stig-Ove Askelöf recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Patrick Widberg. Stig-Ove Askelöf showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. Funäsdalen BF's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
