Gottfrid Stensson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Krister Ingemarsson having to interfere. Krister Ingemarsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gösta Bratt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 19 minutes of play, Håcksvik's Gösta Bratt made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Krister Ingemarsson was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 29th minute, Gustav Heggert got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Edvin Möller during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After the first half Håcksvik were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 61st minute the ball was on its way in behind Smurfarnas IF's goalkeeper Krister Ingemarsson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gottfrid Stensson got free with Krister Ingemarsson in the 97th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Håcksvik eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
