The Norrhult fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Roland Brogren should have stopped the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sven-Olof Högman in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Roland Brogren saved Norrhult from getting behind. Ralf Asmundsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Franck Rocheteau made a huge save. In the 40th match minute, Norrhult was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ludwig Jonsson to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Norrhult's zone, Sven-Olof Högman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roland Brogren came out of the goal and Sven-Olof Högman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Ian Klintæus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Franck Rocheteau having to interfere. Ingvar Nyqvist charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ingvar Nyqvist the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Norrhult's Ingvar Nyqvist got a free kick in the 57th minute. Franck Rocheteau showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ralf Asmundsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Roland Brogren didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sven-Olof Högman went, in the 66th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. Roland Brogren was a little too slow when Sven-Olof Högman got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 70th minute. The score was now 1-4. In the 75th minute Ian Klintæus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Franck Rocheteau saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Roland Brogren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sven-Olof Högman in the 78th minute of play. Franck Rocheteau took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ralf Asmundsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sven-Olof Högman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 96th minute, Sven-Olof Högman reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Roland Brogren. The goal made the score 1-5. Lovate's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
