Ervalla's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vänersborg the free kick. After 13 played minutes Ervalla got a freekick which was hit by Jonas Hellbom. Leo Mellberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from August Lund in the 16th minute of play. Leo Mellberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kevin Vester, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. After a rather tough play, Ervalla's Pelle Strömberg got a free kick in the 29th minute. Elias Andreasson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Matthias Kvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leo Mellberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from August Lund, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Elias Andreasson to strike the kick off in the second half. If Robin Hallgren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 55 played minutes Ervalla got a freekick which was hit by Jonas Hellbom. In the 56th minute, Elias Andreasson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Mats Blomberg fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ervalla's protests and gave Mats Blomberg a yellow card for diving instead. After 58 played minutes Ervalla got a freekick which was hit by Mats Blomberg. Kevin Vester fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leo Mellberg having to interfere. August Lund in the 65thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Leo Mellberg, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 68 minutes into the match, Vänersborg's goalkeeper Leo Mellberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by August Lund. After a defensive mix-up in Vänersborg's zone, Kevin Vester stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leo Mellberg came out of the goal and Kevin Vester tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Joakim Lundqvist hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. 73 minutes into the match, August Lund dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Leo Mellberg, 1-1. Matthias Kvist was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Kevin Vesters short, quick shot in the 89thth minute got Leo Mellberg to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Ervalla's Kevin Vester in the 92nd minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Leo Mellberg was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Vänersborg through an amazing save. Vänersborg's Leo Mellberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kevin Vester in the 98th minute of play. Vänersborg were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Ervalla for a fine match.
