In the 38th match minute, TheGodlikes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rudolf Bäckström to maneuver through the defense. David Biörnberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joar Lundström having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Calle Kvick to make the kick off. Henry Månsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Calle Kvick, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 69 minutes into the match, Nordmaling RK's goal looked a bit too open when Calle Kvick came free, but Henry Månsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Lars-Erik Åberg came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Nordmaling RK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lars-Erik Åberg couldn't finish the play. If Sven-Olof Moberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Nordmaling RK eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
