After a defensive mix-up in Vetlanda's zone, Kåre Aleberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hubert Johnsson came out of the goal and Kåre Aleberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vetlanda's Hubert Johnsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonardo Sjöberg in the 13th minute of play. An unexpected shot in the 65th minute by Roger Mellbad got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. If Kåre Aleberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 73 played minutes Kåre Aleberg rounded Vetlanda's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-3. In the 77th minute of the match, Leonardo Sjöberg tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Hubert Johnsson saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Roger Mellbad got free with Hubert Johnsson in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
