In the 14th minute, Pontus Häll ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gottfrid Berggren was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. After a rather tough play, Östra Ryd's Johan Lindman got a free kick in the 18th minute. Gottfrid Berggren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pontus Häll in the 21st minute of play. The audience was convinced that Rune Sundberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joakim Classon was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. Christian Sjödin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Johan Lindman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Gottfrid Berggren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 43rd minute, Åke Lundgren left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Östra Ryd fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. After the first half Östra Ryd were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

52 minutes into the match, Huskvarna's goalkeeper Gottfrid Berggren had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Johan Lindman. Kevin Österberg's late challenge caught a Huskvarna's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kevin Österberg helped the player get up and apologised. After 59 minutes, Gösta Britz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Östra Ryd and the Huskvarna players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Huskvarna booed when Östra Ryd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gösta Britz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Åke Lundgren kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. After having played for 65 minutes, Rune Sundberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Huskvarna's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rune Sundberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Pontus Häll had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gottfrid Berggren didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Östra Ryd's Johan Lindman shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-4 in the ordered_time% minute. Joakim Classon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rune Sundberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Jonathan Axelsson took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 81st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gottfrid Berggren. Huskvarna's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pontus Häll in the 82nd minute of play forced Huskvarna's goalkeeper Gottfrid Berggren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 84 minutes into the match, Huskvarna's goal looked a bit too open when Pontus Häll came free, but Gottfrid Berggren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Max Rosendahl charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Max Rosendahl the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Huskvarna's Max Rosendahl got a free kick in the 88th minute. 89 minutes into the match, Östra Ryd's Staffan Lund broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Johan Lindman hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Åke Bållström charged in rather forcefully in the 96th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Åke Bållström the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Karl-Åke Igelström, 97 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The Huskvarna fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Östra Ryd were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
