The audience thought a goal was coming when Georg Sävström got free with Torbjörn Ekelund in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as Olov Klack kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Torbjörn Ekelund. That made the score 2-0 in the 21 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olov Klack in the 24th minute of play forced Hedared IF's goalkeeper Torbjörn Ekelund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Hedared IF getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Lennart Ekblom hit a great ball. 39 minutes into the game, Georg Sävström was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player.
