But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eddie Åström couldn't finish the play. When the match had gone on for 12 minutes, Harry Vik took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Patrik Hökkvist to make any attempt to save it. In the 20th minute, Kåre Kaxe ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kennet Möllgren was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Kåre Kaxe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 30 minutes, Eddie Åström managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kolsuparna BK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eddie Åström was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Patrik Hökkvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lars Påk in the 32nd minute of play. Leonardo Hansson charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leonardo Hansson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Kristinehamn BK getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Leonardo Hansson hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Kolsuparna BK's Andreas Byström got a free kick in the 40th minute. Patrik Hökkvist made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Eddie Åström sent off a good shot on target. 47 minutes into the match, Kristinehamn BK's goalkeeper Patrik Hökkvist had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eddie Åström. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jimmy Tingberg stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Lars Påk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 57th minute, Lars Påk got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpected shot in the 67th minute by Kåre Kaxe got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. If Eddie Åström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 79th match minute, Kristinehamn BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stig-Åke Persson to maneuver through the defense. When Lars Påk fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kolsuparna BK's protests and gave Lars Påk a yellow card for diving instead. In the 81st match minute, Kolsuparna BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lars Påk to maneuver through the defense. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Kristinehamn BK's goalkeeper Patrik Hökkvist, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Eddie Åström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patrik Hökkvist having to interfere. Patrik Hökkvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lars Påk in the 88th minute of play. If Kåre Kaxe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kurt Nyström's late challenge caught a Kristinehamn BK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kurt Nyström helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Kristinehamn BK booed when Kolsuparna BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kurt Nyström didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kolsuparna BK were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
