Jens-Åke Ekblom started the match with the kick off. Olof Påk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Egon Vikström having to interfere. Egon Vikström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jens-Åke Ekblom in the 6th minute of the match. A collision led to IFK Fotskäl getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Sigvard Öberg hit a great ball. Alf Sillén sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 11 minutes into the match, Jens-Åke Ekblom had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Egon Vikström. IFK Fotskäl's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jens-Åke Ekblom was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Egon Vikström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jens-Åke Ekblom in the 16th minute of the match. Olof Påk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Egon Vikström having to interfere. Christian Jakobsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Egon Vikström having to interfere. 25 minutes into the match, FC Bjälklaget's Stig-Arne Thorsberg sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Egon Vikström narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 26 minutes had been played when some careless play by IFK Fotskäl's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jens-Åke Ekblom was slow to take the kick. During this time FC Bjälklaget's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Jens-Åke Ekblom got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Egon Vikström quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. If Christian Jakobsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Egon Vikström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christian Jakobsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 36 minutes into the match, Jens-Åke Ekblom had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Egon Vikström. After a rather tough play, IFK Fotskäl's Dick Johansson got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Egon Vikström came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Bjälklaget's Alf Sillén. But to his dismay, Alf Sillén quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. After the first half FC Bjälklaget were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lennart Ekrot stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in IFK Fotskäl's zone, Christian Jakobsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Egon Vikström came out of the goal and Christian Jakobsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Egon Vikström made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Stig-Arne Thorsberg sent off a good shot on target. August Andreasson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Egon Vikström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. IFK Fotskäl's Egon Vikström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karl-Michael Harman in the 63rd minute of play. If Stig-Arne Thorsberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Stig-Arne Thorsberg came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the FC Bjälklaget fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Stig-Arne Thorsberg couldn't finish the play. Olof Påk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Egon Vikström having to interfere. Jens-Åke Ekblom struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Egon Vikström didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Bjälklaget. FC Bjälklaget's Villiam Åström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jack Haeger in the 80th minute of play. Stig-Arne Thorsberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Egon Vikström having to interfere. Stig-Arne Thorsberg struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Egon Vikström didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Bjälklaget. Egon Vikström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christian Jakobsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Jens-Åke Ekblom fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Egon Vikström having to interfere. After having played for 93 minutes, August Andreasson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Bjälklaget's supporters crossed their fingers, but August Andreasson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Villiam Åström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dick Johansson in the 95th minute of the match. After having played for 97 minutes, Olof Påk managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Bjälklaget's supporters crossed their fingers, but Olof Påk was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. FC Bjälklaget's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
