Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Sven Ryberg made the kick off and thus started the match. After a defensive mix-up in Sumpans Slaktare's zone, Sven Ryberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tommy Salo came out of the goal and Sven Ryberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jonny Eckegren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronny Forss, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. 23 minutes into the match, Ronny Forss notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Säffle's Jonny Eckegren. Jonny Eckegren was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Åke Allbom hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Säffle's Ludvig Collin got a free kick in the 26th minute. Jonny Eckegren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leo Qvarnström in the 29th minute of the match. Ronny Forss received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Jonny Eckegren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Ludvig Collin fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Säffle's protests and gave Ludvig Collin a yellow card for diving instead. After 36 played minutes Säffle got a freekick which was hit by Ludvig Collin. After a rather tough play, Säffle's Roland Blanck got a free kick in the 46th minute.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ronny Forss stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd match minute, Sumpans Slaktare was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mark Åhman to maneuver through the defense. Jörgen Svensson hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Sumpans Slaktare's Tommy Salo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Åke Allbom in the 61st minute of play. Åke Allbom took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tommy Salo. Tommy Salo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Ronny Forss managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sumpans Slaktare's supporters rose to their feet, but Ronny Forss was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonny Eckegren breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Ronny Forss came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Sumpans Slaktare fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ronny Forss couldn't finish the play. Åke Allbom fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tommy Salo having to interfere. When Sven Bivall fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Säffle's protests and gave Sven Bivall a yellow card for diving instead. After 78 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Säffle! Åke Allbom fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tommy Salo having to interfere. In the 91st minute, Säffle's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Kasper Bäck fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Jonny Eckegren made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ronny Forss in the 93rd minute. The supporters of Sumpans Slaktare booed when Säffle was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kenneth Pettersson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ronny Forss could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 97th minute of the match, but Jonny Eckegren made a huge save.
