With an all-out effort, Åstorp's Isac Björklund threw himself towards the right post 25 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Joakim Arvidsson, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Kurt Vallengren stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Per-Olof Kellman's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. Åstorp's Kurt Vallengren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Per-Olof Kellman in the 53rd minute of play. If Stig-Åke Dalkvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Träfot BK's Per-Olof Kellman in the 60th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Kurt Vallengren was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Åstorp through an amazing save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Stig-Åke Dalkvist got free with Kurt Vallengren in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kurt Vallengren prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Kurt Vallengren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Per-Olof Kellman in the 78th minute of the match. 84 minutes into the match, Åstorp's Vidar Alströmer sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Isac Björklund narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Träfot BK booed when Åstorp was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vidar Alströmer didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Åstorp had won after a very even match.
