Lidköping's defense didn't have a chance, in the 14th minute, when Michael Fagerberg scored to the left of an out of position Dick Lindsten, making the score, 1-0. Dick Lindsten was out of position in the 19 minute of play, and Michael Fagerberg capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Michael Fagerberg really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. Michael Fagerberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dick Lindsten having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stig-Ove Lundström in the 28th minute of play forced Edane FK's goalkeeper Melker Lönn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Peter Kinell's late challenge caught a Lidköping's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The wind increased when Bernt Abrahamsson made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Karl-Johan Hansson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Melker Lönn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
